Abarth was founded in 1949 by Carlo Abarth who began by purchasing the remnants of Cisitalia and developing them for racing. In addition to the racing cars, he soon began to develop tuning accessories to support his sporting activities and in 1971 Abarth was taken over by Fiat where you'll now see the Abarth name.
